 Calcutta Cabin Walk: Where Time Tastes Delicious  

Few of the still surviving century old cabins & cafes are integral part of the great gastronomic culture of Calcutta. These no-frills eateries lack posh ambience and mostly serve deep-fried dishes influenced by the British. Each dish and the cabins has its own story. We shall try to visit few of them and listen to the stories and off course taste the food which has stood the test of time … and please don’t forget to carry antacids!!

Kolkata’s cabins have been immortalized in Bengali literature. In this tour, we visit a few such cabins where time stands still, where just the name of a dish can have memories tumbling out, where the dreams of revolution still linger wistfully in the air and finally, where the food is out-of-the-world delicious but absurdly cheap. 

Warning: Not a tour for the ones who suffer from acidity or indigestion, unless of course you have an amazing restraint when it comes to good food.
